He was the Buffalo Soldier

to win the war for America

~ Bob Marley

something not that hard (I think)

When I was a young boy

My mama said to me

There's only one girl in the world for you

And she probably lives in Tahiti

I heard this song on the train yesterday and was all - "Hmmm... I know this from somewhere... confused0083.gif"

I'd go the Whole Wide World just to find her - Wreckless Eric

Put me in a hospital for nerves

And then they had to commit me

You told them all I was crazy

They cut off my legs now I'm an amputee Goddamn you!

Paranoia - Green Day

'fraid not ;)

edit: I google and Paranoia by Green Day (+ another song by Lit) are these bands versions of a certain other song (they've just been renamed)

according to AMG Green Day doesn't even have a song called "Paranoia"

but if you ask google...

funny thing is, all the lyrics listed there are the same as "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger (a song that really exists ;) )

my bet is that somebody had that song without knowing title or artist, and just guessed both, and one lyrics site got it from the other... :P

Fly me high through the starry skies

Maybe to an astral plane

Cross the highways of fantasy

Help me to forget today's pain

Dream Weaver-Gary Wright

I can't stand myself

I'm being held up by invisible men

Still life on a shelf when

I've got my mind on something else

Sunny days, oh, where have you gone?

I get the strangest feeling you belong

Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

I don't know if you're looking for romance or

I don't know what you're looking for

I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

Dancing to electro-pop like a robot from 1984

From 1984!

...

*ahem* Arctic Monkeys? ;)

There's room at the top I'm telling you still

but first you must learn how to smile as you kill

if you want to be like the folks on the hill
