And Todd - I've also got "I Saw The Light" on my Listaonestonominatesometime.

(Lista for short).

Also Katie, how will we get a Kinks song in the 10. A lot of their really great songs don't appear to have been popular in the U.S. That crazy Dave Davies upset Ed Sullivan many years ago, and only their early classics seem to have gotten much airplay there. Phil nominated "A Well Respected Man" in Top Ten #2, but only two people voted for it. One of them was me, of course. I was surprised when Rolling Stone Magazine placed "Waterloo Sunset" so highly (#42) in their Top 500 last year.

:P

DON'T FORGET: ALL SONGFACTORS ARE MOST WELCOME TO NOMINATE 2 SONGS (WHICH AREN'T CURRENTLY IN THE SONGFACTS DAILY OR WEEKLY TOP TENS), AND THEN VOTE FROM THE LIST OF NOMINATIONS WHEN IT IS CLOSED.

Here we go OLD 55 I have my two picks that hopefully haven't been use already.

1. "American Woman" by The Guess Who

2. "Midnight Confession" by The Grass Roots who I think are a very underrated group. I don't know if they are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or not,but if they aren't they deserve to be. From about '67 through '70 they were one of the hottest groups going in the states.

Feelin' Alright was a real 'smokey' Steel. Votes just kept coming in for it and all of a sudden it had 52.

:)

With all these great nominations coming in again, it looks like another "agoniser" of what to leave out. Malakin summed it up when he said he'd have put in Well Respected Man, but there were 10 others he liked better that week. Good point.

I hope it didn't sound like I was whingeing too much about the Kinks. Katie's a big fan of theirs too, but she went offline before she answered my post last night (here in AUS). Animal's proving me wrong about many of their songs not being well known in the U.S. by nominating Waterloo Sunset. That'll have to be my #1 this week.

Gee it's going to be tough again. I can see more than Ten I'd choose already!

Grass Roots were fairly popular here rt. Midnight Confessions is a great song and was Top 5. Their follow-up Bella Linda hit also. I don't think they're in the Hall Of Fame.

:guitar:

Happy Easter, everyone!

Thanks CanAm. We hope we see all our friends back safe and sound.

This week is going to be my hardest! Sorry about not answering Old55, I would love to have a Kinks song in there and 'Waterloo Sunset' is one of the best, so that'll definitely have my vote as well!
