The Topical Ten. Can you Guess them from the Clues ?

OLD 55

Steve Lukather of Toto wrote the song for Rosanna Arquette.

I'd always thought that, too. But I remember back when the song came out, the members of Toto and Rosanna Arquette herself denied denied denied that the song was about her... "methinks they doth protest too much"?

One can but try.

I know next to nothing about the US Charts, to be honest...I must confess that I have spent much of my adult life listening to "non-mainstream" music and spurning much (but not all) "commercial pop" as I would a rabid dog...So this kind of quiz is pretty challenging for me. If it were UK chart hits I'd obviously stand a much better chance! (I've always listened with interest, even to stuff I loathed.... )

Good answers for #4 Edna, but not those, sorry. The word "End" doesn't appear in the song title. With #2, it could be at night but not necessarily. That Beatles' song didn't chart as a single either, unless it was a B side of some Hit.

:)

Maybe I should have a European version too ! B-F I've got a great U.K. Chart Book that a friend of mine brought back for me. She worked for Pickwick Records while she was over there, and her boss, Graham Betts, compiled it.

:)
