What Have I Done to Deserve This? - Pet Shop Boys & Dusty Springfield

I remember you liked Dusty Springfield....

Start Me Up....Stones #2

DOUBLE WHAMMY !!! :coolio:

That's all Ten. Thanks to all you clever people for participating !

I'm going to have Dinner and watch a bit of TV soon. I'll try to put on a new Ten later. Someone else might like to have a go at preparing one also ? The only "rule" is that they must have been ALL U.S. HIT SINGLES ! No Album only Tracks.(That takes out "Stairway To Heaven" and unfortunately some great Beatles tracks, but...).

:)

1. SHE LOVES YOU / BEATLES

2. START ME UP / ROLLING STONES

3. WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN / BANGLES

4. SEASONS IN THE SUN / TERRY JACKS

Hi Farin. Good tries by you and Edna ! In fact Edna has #3 with "Sounds Of Silence" / Simon & Garfunkel. Nine to go.

#10 Elton John released "Lucy" as a single, but that's not it, sorry.

#9 Not that one either Edna.

Happy Hunting - I'm off to bed. 'Night All.

Well it looks like I made them a bit tougher this time. :P

Thanks to all who've had a go. The answers were all very thoughtful and we have 6 of them now. Well done.

#2 Peaches with Goodbye Yellow Brick Road / Elton John

#3 Edna, Sounds Of Silence / Simon & Garfunkel

#4 Das, Walk - Don't Run / The Ventures

#6 Laurie, I Can See For Miles / The Who

#8 Laurie, Sugar Shack / Jimmy Gilmer & The Fireballs

#9 Peaches, Crazy / Patsy Cline.

.................................................

Numbers 1, 5, 7 and 10 to go.

Don't forget, these are only songs that I like. So I am "grading" them to an extent, so the top few, #1 especially, are going to be ones I'm very fond of.

#1 Das' answer was very good. It is a superstar's song.

#5 is not really by one of my favorite Groups, but I like it.

#7 you've gone very close to. By a Group also.

#10 was a much bigger Hit in the U.K. They didn't really make it big in the U.S.

Well I've done these pretty quickly. Just opened my Top Pop Singles at random pages and found songs I like. I don't think they'll be too tough. Top Ten #4.

:)

1. These 4 don't know whether they're coming or going.

2. Not stirred and lots of it.

3. A personal spiritual thing.

4. Very comical (but not funny).

5. Here it comes...

6. A street in the Virgin Islands.

7. Not a toy boy.

8. We've all been one of these. A couple here still act like it.

9. Should've listened to his mother in the 70s.

10.Ditto in the 60s.

Happy hunting !
