Pair made for last episodes of "Sopranos" By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "The Sopranos" co-stars Michael Imperioli and Vincent Curatola have closed deals to appear in the final eight episodes of HBO's mob drama.

Following HBO's decision in the summer to extend the final sixth season of "Sopranos" to 20 episodes -- 12 to air this year and eight in 2007 -- the cast of the Emmy-winning series began negotiations for the final batch of episodes.

Stars James Gandolfini and Edie Falco were the first to close new deals.

Meanwhile, other key players, including Tony Sirico and Steve Van Zandt, are still in discussions.

Imperioli won an Emmy for his role as Christopher Moltisanti on "Sopranos." In his breaks from the show, he has been moonlighting on another crime drama, NBC's "Law & Order," with a series of guest-starring appearances.

Curatola plays New York boss Johnny "Sack" Sacramoni on "Sopranos." He has also appeared on "Law & Order."

Yep, then another 7 months off...then the final 8 episodes ever. Gandolfini, Falco, Imperioli, and Curatola are signed, Little Steven and Sirica to follow...no word on Schrippa (spelling?)...could Bobby be getting whacked?

Janice is the biggest maniac of the bunch. At least with the mobsters, you know who and what they are...but Janice is pure evil wrapped around a keg of TNT....she will blow and others will come down with her.

This may be construed as sacrilege but last night's season finale sucked on ice. What a boring, non-cliffhanger this turned out to be.

I watched this with 8 other Soprano fans and we all felt the same afterwards. Crapola!! (ty Archie Bunker).

The final episodes of The Sopranos has been pushed back to March 2007 because James Gandolfini had to have some knee surgery. Isn't it ironic that he needs knee surgery after all the knees he had busted up on the show. Maybe if he lost 75 pounds, the knees would feel better.
