Songs About California

Recommended Posts

I'm going to be a total geek and make a playlist on my iPod relating to songs about Caifornia, songs with California in the title. (I want to keep myself motivated about a future move there, maybe and a near future trip to a friend's house!)

I know the obvious ones (Led Zeppelin, Phantom Planet, The Eagles, Mamas and the Papas) but can help me out here by completing the list I have going?

California Girls

California Dreaming

Hotel California

California Uber Alles (doesn't all have to be positive!)

It Never Seems To Rain in Southern California

California Love

*(maybe...I will be in the Southern part)

L.A. Woman

Nobody Walks in L.A.

Los Angeles

Folsom State was in California, but it's more famous foritsline about Reno, Nevada, don't you think?

Thanks for the list though! I'll have to check all these out. I'm not really familiar with country music, but will check these out. :)

Let's see...

Little Old Lady From Pasadena

*maybe FreeFallin'

and All I Wanna Do?

I have Californication already, but thanks. :)

Sorry, I thought it might fit as you had your list to add to up there already and it was not on it :)

Could you add in the other songs you have so we don't duplicate them? Thanks.

I see you also want songs about California areas, not just California in the title :)

So, how about:

Drinking in L.A - Bran Van 3000

OK this is what I have so far, in order to save repetition. (Also I have to sheepishly say as well that I am looking for songs about Southern California, some sort of landmark or city or something.)

Going Back To Cali LL Cool J

California Phantom Planet

Hotel California Eagles

California Uber Alles Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy

Free Fallin' Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers (for its mention of Mulholland, Reseda, Ventura Boulevard, etc.)

Malibu Hole

Drinking in L.A. Bran Van 3000

Santa Monica Everclear

Californication Red Hot Chili Peppers

California Uber Alles Dead Kennedys

California Dreamin' The Mamas & The Papas

California Love Tupac and Dr. Dre

It Never Rains In Southern California Albert Hammond

L.A. Woman The Doors

Losing California Sloan

Walking In L.A. Missing Persons

I Left My Wallet In El Segundo A Tribe Called Quest

Going To California Led Zeppelin

I Love L.A. Randy Newman
