The Seeker
I'm looking for a song that I heard on the radio some time ago. I didn't catch any of the lyrics, though. They said it was from Chicago, but when they did that song they weren't called Chicago yet, but Transite to ?? something. As I said I don't have any lyrics, but I think the title had numbers in it, something like "26 to 44". Someone recognise it? edna
You mean "24 or 6 to 4", Chicago Transit Authority, their former name in the beginnings. Waiting for the break of day Searching for something to say Flashing lights against the sky Giving up I close my eyes Sitting cross-legged on the floor 25 or 6 to 4 Staring blindly into space Getting up to splash my face Wanting just to stay awake Wondering how much I can take Should I try to do some more 25 or 6 to 4 Feeling like I ought to sleep Spinning room is sinking deep Searching for something to say Waiting for the break of day 25 or 6 to 4 25 or 6 to
The Seeker
Blessed you are. That's it! Well, I was close with the title, wasn't I? While you're at it, do you happen to know what album it's from? Edited February 11, 2006 by Guest

edna
Indeed... I had the first records as they were being released and there was one song I loved, "At the sunrise" (I guess it`s on the third album) which is quite rare...

bazooka
And just because the Meaning of '25 or 6 to 4 ' seems likely to crop up again ( as it does from time to time), here's the lowdown from the horse's mouth.
_Laurie_
thanks bazooka...I never thought it was referring to drugs...I figured it had to do with time in some way, either of the time of day, or in writing the song....
