This was/is the best PI show ever televised, possibly the best show ever period! I remember watching this show all the time when I was a young teenager, I also remember catching it in re-runs occasionally in the early eighties. Now for the first time, in a very, very long time, I get to see the shows again. I just picked up the Rockford Files - season one on DVD at Costco over the weekend, at $25.99 it's the lowest price I've seen yet and since I've been holding out since December, I could wait no longer. I've already watched the first episode, 21 to go, but I'll take my time, because Rockford Files is like a fine vintage wine, to be savored and sipped, never gulped. Aaahhhh, what a great show!!
