_Laurie_
a friend of mine past away yesterday....he was a big Beatle fan. His sister is not sure of what his favorite song was, but she would like to play a couple of Beatle songs at the funeral....I suggested "In My Life" which is one of my favorites...any, other suggestions? Tenacious_Peaches
Laurie, I'm sorry for your loss. I think "In My Life" is the best bet. But how about something like "Here Comes the Sun"? It's too easy to get caught up in the grief at a funeral, but a little hope for an eventual brighter day might be what everyone needs.

Jimmy1104
Laurie, the first song that came to my mind was also "In My Life". Another could be "Golden Slumbers" though that was written to a female.
RonJonSurfer
Song: Within You Without You Vocals: George Harrison Year: 1967--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lyrics: We were talking - about the space between us all And the people - who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion Never glimpse the truth - then it's far too late - when they pass away. We were talking - about the love we all could share - when we find it To try our best to hold it there - with our love With our love - we could save the world - if they only knew. Try to realise it's all within yourself no-one else can make you change And to see you're really only very small, and life flows on within you and without you. We were talking - about the love that's gone so cold and the people, Who gain the world and lose their soul - they don't know - they can't see - are you one of them? When you've seen beyond yourself - then you may find, peace of mind is waiting there - And the time will come when you see we're all one, and life flows on within you and without you. RonJonSurfer
Song: The Inner Light Vocals: George Harrison Year: 1968--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Lyrics: Without going out of my door I can know all things on earth Without looking out of my window I could know the ways of heaven The farther one travels The less one knows The less one really knows Without going out of your door You can know all things on earth Without looking out of your window You can know the ways of heaven The farther one travels The less one knows The less one really knows Arrive without travelling See all without looking Do all without doing
