Green Day

Ok, I know this is going to get clicked on by GD Junkies, but I was wonderning what people though on the following issues:

1. When listening to GD I feel that every word and note has been thought over and cared about. In alot of modern R&B/Rap/Pop you don't seem to get that, songs feel manafactured. Am I right, or am I just not feeling the newer music?

2. Is it wrong for a 35 year old man to be singing like a 19 year old rebel? Don't get me wrong, I love Green Day and their music, and long live their careers, but isn't it just a little odd? Like your dad trying to be cool?

My feelings on music in general is that each era had its greats and its duds. Nostalgia tends to make us put on "rose colored headphones" so to speak and put more meaning behind older music because of the memories that are attached to it. In short, you can find good music for any era if you keep your ears and mind open.

As for Green Day...if their songs reach soccer moms as well as their kids, what's wrong with that?
