tekietek
Hey there.. This is going to be really ... open-ended I guess.. A while ago, I heard a song that I liked, but couldn't find it... Now I can't even remember the words! All I remember is that there was a dododododo or a dududu or something to that extent--I believe it was a male vocalist, but I might be wrong.. It was an upbeat song--not rap, country, jazz or anything like that.. just.. a fun song.. If you guys could, could you just let me know of any songs that you might know with the dododo's or even dobedo's or anything! I've got to find this song, or it's going to drive me insane.. I'll post the words if I can remember them--but my mind's blank right now.. Thanks guys!!
Elvish
Not The Police is it? Don't think me unkind Words are hard to find They're only cheques I've left unsigned From the banks of chaos in my mind And when their eloquence escapes me Their logic ties me up and rapes me De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da Their innocence will pull me through De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da They?re meaningless and all that?s true Poets, priests and politicians Have words to thank for their positions Words that scream for their submission And no one's jamming their transmission Cos when their eloquence escapes you Their logic ties you up and rapes you De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da Their innocence will pull me through De do do do, de da da da Is all I want to say to you De do do do, de da da da They're meaningless and all that's true

Elvish
You're welcome - it's definitely catchy and it jumped to mind immediately. In fact, I think it's stuck there! In the meantime, check out this search on sing365.com It's 10 pages, but you might find something that rings a bell. Good luck!

The only song I can think of is Royksopp's "Doo Doo" - but it has no other lyrics Perhaps you can remember a few more? Anything?
Steel2Velvet
Roy Orbison's "Only The Lonely" has some dooby do wah's in it. Not exactly a fun song, however, and extremely memorable.
tekietek
no.. but thanks for trying I think that it was sort of a fast-paced song--that would explain why I can't remember a word they said--other than the bo bo do do whatever.. I wish I could even remember the rythm, but it's been so long! Oh well, thanks again
NewYorkMets9
Was it used in a car commercial like 7 years ago? I think 2 guys are in a car and they find a couch on the side of the road. It was like "Da-Da-Da doo di doo, doo di doo"

Brad_M
Good thing there aren't many songs that fit that description. It should be easy to find. Visual Interlude:

lonelyday
could it be counting the beat- the swingers? Here are the lyrics: Look at the sunrise I look at it burn I look into your eyes Don't know where to turn I'm gonna drift into that void I'm flying through space, I'm an asteroid Time doesn't take place when you're paranoid I'm thinking about you, and nothing else Thinking about you, you're thinking about me Thinking about you, I'm counting the beat Thinking about you Thinking about me Thinking about just you and me, la da de de, there ain't no place I'd rather be La da de da, la da de da, la da de da, la da de da La da de da, la da de da, la da de da, la da de da La da de da, la da de da, la da de da, la da de da Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! Oooh ooh, oo oo Oooh ooh, oo oo Oooh ooh, oo oo Oooh ooh, oo oo I'm counting the beat 2 3 4 5, I'm feeling the heat to be alive I'm counting the beat 6 7 8 9, I'm wishing that you, That you were mine Thinking about you, you're thinking about me Thinking about you and counting the beat Thinking about you Thinking about me Thinking about you... Thinking about me... Thinking about you..... Tenacious_Peaches
...my beloved XXX... I miss that cheeky fecker (my new favorite phrase). Why is it that all my favorite people turn the corner to the point of no return and wind up getting banned? XXX, Cyberdemon, Chris/Dave/Roger/Navin/Aunt Acid...sigh.
