Otokichi Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 At the imdb.com "Music" message board, the question was: "What song reminds you of what movie?" Here's an obvious one: Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" lands you on the deck of "Titanic" screaming something about "I'm king of the world!"

Shawna Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Tiny Dancer - Almost Famous This is so funny, Peaches. That song reminds me of Phoebe on "Friends" singing "Hold me closer, Tony Danza..." The only one that really sticks in my mind as far as movies go is: "I'm Alright" ~ Caddyshack. I can't hear that song without seeing that little gopher dancing.

bluesboy Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers from Ghost The End - The Doors and The Ride of the Valkyries (from the opera Die Walkure) - Richard Wagner both remind me of Apocalypse Now the aria from the Mozart opera The Marriage of Figaro "Duettino - Sull Aria" from The Shawshank Redemption
Steel2Velvet Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Born To Be Wild (Steppenwolf) and If You Want To Be A Bird (The Holy Modal Rounders) from Easy Rider The Candy Man (Sammy Davis Jr) from Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory Help (The Beatles) from ... hmmm... just can't recall the name of that movie.
Foxy Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" ~ Aerosmith Automatically reminds me of Armageddon (and an ex). "Edge Of Seventeen" ~ Stevie Nicks Reminds me of School Of Rock, and scene in the bar with the headteacher. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" ~ Scorpions Reminds me of Little Nicky when they are walking up over a grassy bank (if I remember correctly) "Gimme All Your Lovin'" ~ ZZ Top Reminds me of The Santa Clause.

Shawna Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Also: "You"ve Lost That Loving Feeling" ~ By the Righteous Brothers, performed ~ badly ~ by Tom Cruise and Anthony (can't remember his last name) on "Top Gun."
ryansgirl319 Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I couldn't quite think of anything for 16 Candles but that annoying, whiney "Birthday" song! Another good song from 16 Candles is The Thompson Twins "If You Were Here." That's the song playing at the end when Jake and Sam kiss.
