Gina39525
K, I have to ask a question...(now THERE'S a surprise)...Didn't the Beach Boys have their biggest hit with KOKOMO after they were inducted into the Hall?
daslied
I thought about that, too. But "I Get Around", "Help Me Rhonda" and "Good Vibrations" were all bigger decades before.
Gina39525
According to "The Beach Boys.com" << In 1988, The Beach Boys were at the top of the pop charts with the #1 single "Kokomo" from the Cocktail Motion Picture Soundtrack. The multi-platinum "Kokomo" is The Beach Boys biggest selling hit, climbing to #1 on the pop music and video charts of Billboard, Cashbox, Radio & Records and Hits magazines in 1988 >>
ryansgirl319
Was Carlos Santana inducted as an individual or as part of a group? He recorded Smooth as a solo artist separate from Santana as a group. The question is worded as what singer or band..., and Carlos is not a singer. Carl
Boy, I really liked that question when we wrote it. My reasoning for not accepting The Beach Boys was that "Good Vibrations" was a bigger hit. Of course, "bigger hit" is subjective since we didn't specify chart position or sales. Gina39525
OK...so, Carl, in the future, by what means do we measure "biggest hit"? I usually use the Billboard Charts. BTW, this month's quiz is great! Everything is specific and spelled-out, for the dummies like me!
Carl
I usually go by Billboard chart position, but I should spell that out in the future. Happy quiz taking.
