Blue Fish
Just great. in the day, sun and freezing rain with spitting rain. At night...spitting rain that sometimes decides to drown you in twenty second ursts. Really, I stood in the rain and timed it. Now I have a cold. Great. Shawna
Shawna...that is too funny and I had to do that for my one girlfriend in high school! She always had jeans so tight that I would have to pull the zipper up for her and then we would go out drinking and she would have to pee and I would have to help her get them zipped up again!! Amazing how 100 years ago it was the upper part of the body the women wore tight clothing around, now it's the lower part. What a difference a century makes. Kevin
yes. I don't mind Canada cold, and they have the most beautiful accent over there. Yeah , it's pretty , sweet , eh ? Anyway , here's a little ditty to learn before you come - and don't forget yer snowshoes 'r touque ! I'se The B'y (Traditional - Arr. GBS) A new version of an old favourite, punctuated by a Cape Breton fiddle jig. I'se the b'y that builds the boat, And I'se the b'y that sails her! And I'se the b'y that catches the fish And brings 'em home to Lizer CHORUS: Hip yer partner Sally Tibbo'! Hip-yer-partner Sally Brown! Fogo, Twillingate, Moreton's Harbour, All around the circle! Sods and rinds to cover yer flake, Cake and tea for supper, Codfish in the spring o' the year Fried in maggoty butter. CHORUS I don't want your maggoty fish, They're no good for winter; Well, I can buy as good as that, Way down in Bonavista. CHORUS I took Lizer to a dance, As fast as she can travel, And every step that she did take Was up to her knees in gravel. CHORUS Susan White she's outta sight, Her petticoat wants a border, Well old Sam Oliver in the dark, He kissed her in the corner! CHORUS I'se the b'y that builds the boat and I'se the b'y that sails her and I'se the b'y that catches the fish and Brings 'em home to Lizer CHORUS Back to top
