SoulGirl
jeff buckley, even though i'm a girl i could probably get away with it. my voice is much lower than his anyway! hard to choose a woman's voice. i'd say maybe eva cassidy's because of its versatility but i would use it in a different way to how she did. Earth-Angel
David Gray's. I'd put it in a beautiful silver locket and wear it close to my heart.
DiggsUK
EA, if you stole David Gray's voice, would the waggly head come as part of the package? You'd never keep a hat on again! Gisela, I would chose his dad's voice. If I wanted a woman's voice it would be either Alf or Dusty Springfield, I reckon. I too could get away with either of these, as Alf's is deeper than mine and Dusty had bigger b*llocks (alledgedly)... Regards
blind-fitter
Charles Aznavour's (of course, if I did, he would then be "Charles Asnavoice") Edited November 29, 2005 by Guest

miamisammy29
I'd like to steal Michael Bolton's voice, lock it in a steel safe, and launch it into the depths of outer space. That way, no one would ever have to hear it again.
Levis
I'll take Freddie Mercury's. If it HAS to be female, then Stevie Nicks.
daslied
Stevie Wonder, Tim Buckley or Rene Kollo.
miamisammy29
Seriously, though, it would have to be Roger Daltrey...."YEEEEEEAAAAHHHH!!"
_Laurie_
good choice Sammy, Roger has the ultimate voice for rock and roll!....I guess I would pick Linda Ronstandt..always liked her voice...or Chrissie Hynde from the Pretenders. Uncle Joe
Many R&B artists I'd like to sound like. Jerry Butler, David Ruffin, Levi Stubbs and Lou Rawls to name a few. I also wish I could sound like Van Morrison.

miamisammy29
I'm a bit surprised no one chose Ann Wilson for a female voice. Not you, Bluesy, however; your avatar justs screams Patsy Cline.
Foxy
Etta James Ann Wilson Nicole Scherzinger (lead singer with The Pussycat Dolls ~ she sounds beautiful on the song 'Sway') Stevie Nicks
Shawna
I'll go with my all-time favorite female signer: Stevie Nicks. Even though my friends say she sounds like a billy goat, she's a freakin' RICH billy goat. And a backup would be Linda Ronstadt. Those are the two I listened to most in high school. Uncle Joe
Shawna, what do you think of Christine McVie's voice?
Shawna
Christine McVie's voice I find to be rather dull, actually. There's nothing about her voice that stands out for me. She hasn't got the range or the emotion that I find so appealing in a lot of other female singers. Sheryl Crow can't sing at all as far as I'm concerned. She always sounds like she's straining to hit the right notes.
_Laurie_
Great Choices Shawna!....Stevie would be my other choice also...I don't think she sounded like a billy goat in her younger days....as she got older it got a little rough though.
