Batman
For me, the worst time of the year is almost over. The worst time of the year, to me, is Late September/October-November, because it's the time of year that it gets cold, but my dad doesn't turn up the thermostat. In December, though, he finally gives in.
PSYCHOcatholic
We use the funk outta the fireplace at the first sign of temps below 40. I for one like cold weather sometimes...it cleanses the air. Although...when seasons change and weather gets funky..i get really sick! Does anybody else get that way? edna
Under zero this morning... Celsius, I mean... very very cold... cold wave. I wish I was on the first post...
katie_sane
I live in southern New South Wales so it gets pretty cold here in winter, which is June, July, August. We rarely get snow though. I've only seen snow about twice in my lifetime.
PSYCHOcatholic
So...you guys dont get to see White Christmas?
katie_sane
Never. If it snowed here in December, I would think it was a sign of the impending apocalypse!! It just very rarely snows here. Christmas day is always disgustingly hot, especially when you're in the kitchen slaving over an oven cooking the traditional Christmas lunch! edna
It's very strange having a white/cold Christmas. For us who grew up in the Southern part of the world, it surely is!!! Though I´ve been having cold (and sometimes white too) Christmas since 1974, so it doesn´t impress me so much now... but there was no snow in Buenos Aires. First time I saw snow I was 8 and I was in France or in Spain...
Levis
It's become cold suddenly because it snowed in Srinagar last week. Winter is on its way.... 'Ray! The woolies are out and the sandals are in. In the morning I'm shivering and my nose becomes cold! 'Tis the season for hot cups of tea and snuggling under the covers. MarcM
It is not too cold, low 70'sF, but there is a sustained wind today blowing junk everywhere.
Shawna
It's absolutely beautiful here. 70s all week, dropping into the 50s at night... I've never experienced a white Christmas... I'd love to, someday.
Lucky
It's lovely Shawna. Although most don't end up getting it. We did last year. Of course, it's nice when it melts the next day. The one you need to watch out for is a white or ice New Years eve!!
Levis
It's cold here with temperatures in the early 20s. I'm sorry, I just wanted to throw in a Celcius scale. ;p

katie_sane
20 degrees celcius is warm? How many countries use celcius and who uses fahrenheit? We're celcius in Oz.
MarcM
I think the US is the only place that still uses Fahrenheit. BTW, first frost warning of the year overnight! Foxy, I liked your snow pictures. I wish I was there.
DiggsUK
We still thing in Fahrenheit over here, just as we think in feet & inches - at least us older ones do..... Its snowing outside here now as well. Regards
