RonJonSurfer
Glam Rocker Gary Glitter in Trouble Again He's fled his Vietnam villa after officials learned of his criminal past. United Press International British glam rocker Gary Glitter has reportedly fled his Vietnam villa after local police officials learned of his criminal past. The creator of the sports anthem "Rock and Roll (Part One)" and convicted child pornographer had been living at resort town of Vung Tao with an underage girl, contactmusic.com reported Monday. Police were tipped to his activities after he was kicked out of a nightclub for groping a teenage waitress. "At my bar he grabbed one of the girls and put his hand up her shorts," bar owner Alan Davis said. "We don't want that sort here." Vung Tao Police spokesman Vu Duc Trung said if Glitter is found, we will not allow him to stay. Glitter spent four months in prison on a 1999 child pornography charge. He moved to Cuba upon being released, then relocated to Cambodia and was expelled after a public outcry. Glitter has vowed to keep moving until no one can find me. RonJonSurfer
Gary Glitter Part 2 HANOI, Vietnam - Authorities said Thursday they are searching for former British rock star Gary Glitter over his alleged relationship with a Vietnamese teenager. Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dung said officials have confirmed that Glitter, 61, whose real name is Paul Francis Gadd, was residing in a home in southern Vung Tau city and had applied for permanent resident status in Vietnam. Glitter rose to fame with glam-rock songs in the 1970s, most notably his only U.S. hit, "Rock and Roll Part 2," a largely instrumental song that has been a staple at stadium sporting events for years. Among his other songs hits were "I'm the Leader of the Gang (I Am)" and "Do You Wanna Touch." Glitter fell from grace in 1999 when he was convicted in Britain of possessing child pornography. He served half of a four-month jail sentence before being released. He later went to Cambodia and was permanently expelled in 2002, though Cambodian officials did not specify his crime or file charges. Dung said that Glitter had left the house on Nov. 12, and police are seeking his whereabouts. "At present, relevant authorities Ba Ria Vung Tau province are trying to trace this gentleman, and clarify the relationship between this gentleman and a Vietnamese juvenile," he said. Dung said authorities have conducted interviews with a 15-year-old girl who they found in the home rented by Glitter. "If evidence of a (legal) violation is found against Mr. Paul Francis, and especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe that very strict legal measures will apply to him," he said. In Vietnam, the crime of sexually abusing a child can lead to the death penalty.

RonJonSurfer
Still more..... Police Hunt for Gary Glitter The disgraced rocker has allegedly fled Vietnam with a 14-year-old girl. Vietnamese police have confirmed they are on the hunt for pop pedophile Gary Glitter. The disgraced glam rocker fled his beachside residence in Vung Tao a week ago after he was found living with two underage schoolgirls. A government spokesperson has confirmed officials are looking for the singer - who has allegedly taken a 14-year-old girl with him. Le Dung from Vietnam's Ministry Of Foreign Affairs says, "If evidence of law violation is found against him, especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe very strict measures will apply to him." The 62-year-old - real name Paul Gadd - could face a maximum of 15 years in jail if found guilty of child sex abuse. Shawna
that is so WRONG. When my son was 8, he was out riding his bike with a friend when some pervert pulled up in a car and asked him to get in. When my son said no, the guy reached out the window and tried to grab him. My son ran home crying and was afraid to tell me what happened. I finally got it out of him. The old adage is true, "hell hath no fury." I was fixin' to torture, maim, mutilate and then kill that night.
invisible_r
Jail penalty (bbc.co.uk) Ministry spokesman Le Dung said authorities had interviewed a 15-year-old girl whom they found in Glitter's home, and a police manhunt for the rock star has reportedly been extended to the Vietnamese capital Ho Chi Minh City. "If evidence of a (legal) violation is found against Mr. Paul Francis, and especially evidence of sexual child abuse, I believe that very strict legal measures will apply to him," said Mr Le Dung. Under Vietnamese law, the charge of obscene acts with a minor carries a penalty of one to five years in jail. Earlier this week, the Foreign Ministry said officials had confirmed that Glitter had applied for permanent resident status in Vietnam. Glitter was expelled from Cambodia in 2002, although no specific reason was given for his deportation.

miamisammy29
I suppose when he gets out of jail, he could sub let a room from Micheal Jackson in Dubai... Out of jail...that's funny. This dude should never get out of jail. Unless this dude can bring Johnny Cochrane back from the dead, then there is no way he's getting out before age 80. And if he should ever hook up with Michael Jackson, there wouldn't be enough room on all the milk cartons in the world.
