Sweet Jane 61
Ok folks here I go again thinking...mainly due to the thread I posted about Genesis maybe getting back together. What group would you like to see get back together...that the members are still with us?? My first pick is Cream...for a little longer than they did...then The Police. So tell me who is your group?? miamisammy29
THE KINKS!!!
Uncle Joe
I'll second both of your nominations. Kinks rule and Cream should always be together. At least until they play Philly. I'd like to add ELO.
johnnyguitar
The Movies....well, no-one's ever heard of them...but they were ******* hot. JG
Batman
Pink Floyd, but it won't happen.
jefftheone
yes!! the Kinks and the Police would be awesome. and speaking of bands getting back together...one of my favorite bands Fenix TX is back together. AND--Prince is suing them for ripping off his symbol on their new live CD. Take a look at the cover at www.fenixtx.net
RonJonSurfer
I'd love to see a Mott the Hoople Reunion because of songs like: Born Late '58 (p.s. I was born late '58...) (Overend Watts) Baby took me out last night Got a little cadillac bite. Shook me about - inside out Didn't get home 'till light. She's a grower, a goer - you gotta get to know her No chooser, a cruiser - you turn around she'll lose you Burned out as the light turned green Smoke-screened off her rail. He didn't see me comin' but he shoulda saw me runnin' Faster than the U.S. mail. She's a speeder, a leader You're really gotta meet her You see her, she thrills you, you look at her she'll kill you. Listen, fella, baby don't you sell her Don't you try and steal her away Hush, man logs in her dam Think you better fade away Detonator, jail-baiter - a radar radiator She'll annoy ya, destroy ya - she'll bring ya down in fire Create her, mistreat her - no use tryin' to beat her Admit it, she's greater, shame you weren't born later. katie_sane
I'll say ELO and The Kinks too. ABBA is another one, and the original members of KISS.
edna
The Beatles, of course, if you had ask twenty five years ago... The Talking Heads, The Cars, The Kinks and Jefferson Airplane. Never saw them live.
invisible_r
pink floyd without a doubt!
MarcM
I was thinking about this topic, but almost all of the bands I would like to see have at least one dead original member. I will agree with Edna and say The Talking Heads. I bet that they would be great live, and add Oingo Boingo. They were great live. Oh, and Dire Straits. edna
I saw Dire Straits just once and surprise!! they were so boring... even playing the songs from "Making Movies" I wished I were home listening to the record instead... But David Byrne is quite good live... at least I enjoyed his concerts, I´ve been to three concerts or more, in the 80s´, 90s and three years ago... MarcM
I still would like to see Dire Straits. I envy your seeing TH. I had to make do with their concert movie, "Stop Making Sense." Their shows looked like a lot of fun.
edna
Oh, I just saw David Byrne, not the Talking Heads... Of course, I also love "Stop Making Sense", I got my first video copy in 1985 and I´ll have to get me the dvd as soon as it exists... it´s one of the most exciting concerts there is... when I saw it in a theatre (it lasted one week... I went the seven days!! ) we couldn´t stop dancing...

miamisammy29
I would like to see Wham get back together. Sometimes I crack myself up.
Tenacious_Peaches
Sammy, that was a bold move to mention Wham and crack in the same post. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
miamisammy29
I never caught that one. You are right, though. Wham has been known to smoke crack....and sniff it. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
katie_sane
If being dead were no issue, I'd choose The Beatles and The Ramones. I'd sell my soul for that
edna
Don´t sell your soul, Katie... I know there´s nothing after death, but what if if was wrong?? Imagine...
katie_sane
Well, I'm here for a good time, not a long time Edna!! I will also sell my soul in order to get tickets to a Rolling Stones concert
