Sweet Jane 61
Harbour Tunnel and Fort McHenry tunnels in Blatimore are closed due to a threat. I am just hearing this on live CBS news here at the station. The authorities are checking the situation out. Traffic is at a standstill. Hope this turns out to be a hoax. MarcM
The news is saying that there is an unspecified threat to the tunnels in Baltimore from a single source. Sounds kinda hinky to me, but better safe than sorry.
_Laurie_
that's true, better safe than sorry, but it's just sad that we are put through so much, be it a hoax or not.
MarcM
There are three possibilities for whats going on. 1. It is a hoax by someone who does not get enough attention. This will change when the Feds find him/her. 2. It is a "dry run" by someone who wants to see how the authorities respond to a threat for use on an actual attack in the future. 3. It was a failed attack.

Ken
The news is saying that there is an unspecified threat to the tunnels in Baltimore from a single source. Sounds kinda hinky to me, but better safe than sorry. Hinky. 'Zat a word, Marc? What does that mean, Hinky. I love it. Marc's police roots are showing. From the absolute fantastic movie, "The Fugitive" Biggs (Daniel Roebuck): This is hinky. This guy's a college graduate. He went to medical school. He's not gonna come through all this security, go to the county lock-up to find someone his own people say does not exist. Hinky. Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones): What does that mean, Biggs? 'Hinky '. Biggs: I dunno, 'strange' . . . Poole (L. Scott Caldwell): 'Weird' . . . Gerard: Well why don 't you say 'strange' or 'weird '? I mean, 'hinky ', that has no meaning. Biggs: Well we say 'hinky '. Gerard (annoyed): I don 't want you guys using words around me that got no meaning. I 'm taking the stairs and walking. As a result of his decision to walk up, Gerard sees the fugitive Dr Kimble (Harrison Ford) on the stairs, which seems quite hinky. Ken.
MarcM
Hinky= aint right! You should be glad I am not just talking in code, as I have to do most of the day at work. That is the hardest part for new guys. Listening to the radio as the codes flying by and trying to figure out what is being said.
