_Laurie_ Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 Just heard Radar Love...golden earring...that got my foot tapping, and the air drums going...lol
RonJonSurfer Posted October 24, 2005 Author Report Posted October 24, 2005 Spirit In The Sky ~ Norman Greenbaum That's a great intro...
Ken Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 That totally un-Kiss-like intro at the beginning of Kiss' "Rock Bottom". And Peter's walk-around flam at the beginning of "Strutter". Ken.
_Laurie_ Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 I heard the live acoustic version of Hotel California today, havent heard that in awhile...love the acoustic intro.
edna Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Sammy´s post reminded me of the intro of "Tunnel of love", Dire Straits...
_Laurie_ Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Green Grass and High Tides...The Outlaws
edna Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Smoke On The Water!!! This one is a real classic... in the 70s everybody knew how to play that intro...
Bella Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 I think these songs have great intro's 'Hey Tonight' by CCR 'Rebel Rebel' by David Bowie The HFO (Hell Freezes Over) version of Hotel California (is fabulous too Laurie35451) 'Those Shoes' by The Eagles
_Laurie_ Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Hi Bella....CCR and Eagles do have great intros to their songs!.
Bella Posted November 14, 2005 Report Posted November 14, 2005 Hi! I'm in absolute, complete agreement with you on that one Laurie. I also love the intro to 'On the border' by the Eagles, it took me ages to get the 'clap' right but, I'm a pro at it now. Ohh, and 'One of these nights', love the bass on that one. For a song with a softer piano intro, I really can't go past 'A day in the life' by the Beatles. And you can't beat that crazy "only for the dogs pitch" at the end either
katie_sane Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 You picked an Eagles song Bella?!? How unusual!!
edna Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I have an earworm and it´s the intro of "Sunshine of your love".
katie_sane Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 But what a good earworm to have!!
Uncle Joe Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Oh yeah edna!! I'll be haearing that one all day and lovin' it.
MarcM Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 Superstition and Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder have great intros. I also like the RHCP versions of Higher Ground and Fire.
RonJonSurfer Posted November 15, 2005 Author Report Posted November 15, 2005 I have an earworm and it´s the intro of "Sunshine of your love". I sometimes obsess on a song and listen to the same song multiple times in row...Sunshine of Your Love is one of them.
miamisammy29 Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 I love the intro to "Road To Nowhere" by the Talking Heads. The four of them sing a capella and sound like a choir... "Well we know where we're going, but we dont know where we've been And we know what we're knowing, but we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children, and we know what we want And the future is certain, give us time to work it out Yeah"... ...and then the cool bassline. AWESOME!!
