This song gets a lot of heat on Songfacts. Can anyone confirm this:

McMahon wrote an original but then kept adding verses to it as more things happened with their relationship, which is why it's so long. I think that's what makes it so easy to relate to, because it has everything. And each section is equally passionate because it was written at a different time and in a different phase of their relationship.
