Diddy drops the P That's right, the rapper first known as Sean Combs, then Sean "Puffy" Combs, then Puff Daddy, and then P. Diddy, will now be known as Diddy. According to Diddy, the P was getting between him and his fans. He also says that to see the true unveiling of Diddy, you'll have to watch the MTV Video Music Awards. And don't you older songfactors call this a publicity stunt, this name change is the defining moment of our generation. How would you like it if we called the moon landing a publicity stunt? Huh?
