Mark Hewer 0
I would have to pick Jeff Porcaro. Look at this list of artists records he's played on! ~~~~~ Jeff Porcaro sessions ~~~~~ It's really quite shocking isn't it? Mark

DJ Kat WQAQ98.1 0
My number one pick is Rick Allen from Def Leppard, cause he does everything everyone else does but with only one arm.

katie_sane 0
You can't go past Ringo! He's my favourite drummer. I also rate Keith Moon, Tommy Ramone, Charlie Watts, Peter Criss, John Bonham, Ginger Baker and Don Henley.
edna 6
Ringo!! "I might not be the best drummer but I´m the Beatles´s drummer" Well said, Katie!
RonJonSurfer 15
I'm with Katie and Edna...ringo is my favorite drummer. Is he the best drummer, probably not...but think of the talent it takes to lay back and be the beat for The Beatles. Plus, he has a personality.
ARandomPlatypus 0
Bonham. Definitely one of the three best drummers of all time, and my personal favorite
Mark Hewer 0
yes...good call!!! Bonham definitely! Jeff Porcaro mentions Bonham in this drummer instruction video HERE
Steel2Velvet 0
Pete Rivera - original drummer for Rare Earth, sang lead on all their hits, as well as being one of the first double bass drummers. Capable of phenomenal counterpontal rythmns while singing lead .... amazing! Saw them in concert once, he is the real deal; no double tracking.
bluesboy 5
On the rock side, I agree about John Bonham and Keith Moon On the Jazz side - Buddy Rich and Lenny White ::
Ken 0
Mark, that video was really good, thanks! It was a bit like an extra included on the superior "Ramones - End Of The Century" DVD where Marky Ramone (Mark Bell) explains how he had to learn Tommy's drum style then shape it as his own. Neither Tommy or Marky get the credit they richly deserve. The Ramones were unbelieveably solid . Ken.

I get angry just thinking about how those guys were stonewalled out of success and left to watch the non-stop parade of bands making millions ripping them off :: :bow:RAMONES
