Jugband_Blues
I just recently purchased Bruce Springsteens newest album, 'Devils and Dust,' (which, by the way, I've greatly enjoyed). But I noticed on the back there is a big "ANTI-PIRACY" logo, and I have been unable to copy the songs to my computer. Is it possible that there is any relation there? And has anyone else had this problem with a CD they bought? thanks
Foxy
Yep, I had the same thing with that very same CD, and also with a John Legend CD I bought Some of the tracks will copy onto computer, and others come out jumpy and distorted.
Uncle Joe
Well, thanks for telling me that. I will not buy that CD for that reason. Oh, I'll get it but I won't buy it.
edna
I second UncleJoe´s post. I´ll get it some way but I won´t pay for it. I´ll give that money to some musician playing in the park instead.
bluesboy
Island Records label did that to me about 2 - 3 years ago with some reggae cd I had bought. I got so mad... I often refuse, (if you gotta have it, you gotta have it) to buy a cd from almost Anywhere. Instead, I'll download songs.
DJ Kat WQAQ98.1
Prince did it last year as well with his "Musicology" album. It's a pain in the ass but it can be cracked if you know computers and cd files well enough (of which I don't). But even if you crack it the quality it still [bleep]. The only thing I've found that works is copying the cd to a casette tape and then if you have the equiptment/program, transferring it back to a digital file. The quality can then be played with from there.
