daslied
That's real funny coming from a Georgian.
Tenacious_Peaches
Am I going to have to start a thread that you two can fight in?
daslied
Only complete tools do such things.
daslied
That also might be a little complicated for a Georgian.
Tenacious_Peaches
Check that attitude, mister. I'm not the one you're mad at. And that's real amusing coming from someone who lives in one state and perpetrates like he lives in another.
daslied
Alright, the first comment was making fun of myself. The second was to your friend. I will rephrase it as "for a Georgian named after an Olympia Dukakis movie". The third comment was just cold. Maybe, when your rafting trip with Ned Beatty is over, you'll think about that. Tenacious_Peaches
I still consider myself a Connecticut-ian, so your Deliverance comments do not affect me at all.
daslied
I should've expected such priggishness from a Nutmegger.
Tenacious_Peaches
That was awesome. I am humbled by the master. I'll leave you alone to pick on Mags.
steel magnolia
Alright, the first comment was making fun of myself. The second was to your friend. I will rephrase it as "for a Georgian named after an Olympia Dukakis movie". Did he just insult me and my beloved Steel Magnolias?
daslied
I don't know what you're talking about. Yes.
Sweet Jane 61
I don't want to add fuel to this fire but where in Florida do you hail from Das? I only ask since I at one time considered it my second home. Key West that is.
daslied
I lived in Pembroke Pines, which is kind of a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale. When we moved it had gotten really tacky, but I went back a few years ago and it looked great. I still wouldn't want to live there again.
Sweet Jane 61
I have been to Ft Lauderdale many times. I have not seen Key West in many years and from what I hear about it, I don't want to. Damn how things have to change and become so commercialized!! Steel2Velvet
I'm down with that, Jane! I lived there in '70 and '71, went back for a visit in '73 and felt the place had "grown up" during that single year difference. But, now I heard it is a total tourist stop complete with Mallory Pier Sunset T-shirts!
Sweet Jane 61
Yeah and there is not much of a sunset to see anymore with the cruise ship docked there so much!! It is a shame, sitting on that dock and hanging out was so cool and you met the most interesting people.
Shawna
I just looked at the map for the first time in a few months. Wow, there's a lot of east-coasters all coagulated up there! Why don't you all get together and have lunch?

Tenacious_Peaches
Ah, the melon one. That was probably the most out of hand thread I've ever seen. I forgot about the watermelon thread...that was hilarious. Diggsy, that may have been the beginning of your sleazy reputation.
