MUSICAL INTERLUDE:

"Be on my side, I'll be on your side, baby

There is no reason for you to hide

It's so hard for me staying here all alone

When you could be taking me for a ride

She could drag me over the rainbow, send me away

Down by the river I shot my baby

Down by the river,

Dead, oooh, shot her dead

You take my hand, I'll take your hand

Together we may get away

This much madness is too much sorrow

It's impossible to make it today

Yeah, she could drag me over the rainbow, send me away

Down by the river I shot my baby

Down by the river,

Dead, oooh, shot her dead."

Welcome back Johnny.

Katie's new signature just makes me want to break out in song. Therefore, courtesy of the Kinks, here's a little....

MUSICAL INTERLUDE:

"Dirty old river, must you keep rolling

Flowing into the night

People so busy, makes me feel dizzy

Taxi light shines so bright

But I don't need no friends

As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset

I am in paradise

Every day I look at the world from my window

But chilly, chilly is the evening time

Waterloo sunset's fine

Terry meets Julie, Waterloo Station

Every Friday night

But I am so lazy, don't want to wander

I stay at home at night

But I don't feel afraid

As long as I gaze on Waterloo sunset

I am in paradise

Every day I look at the world from my window

But chilly, chilly is the evening time

Waterloo sunset's fine

Millions of people swarming like flies 'round Waterloo underground

But Terry and Julie cross over the river

Where they feel safe and sound

And they don't need no friends

As long as they gaze on Waterloo sunset

They are in paradise

Waterloo sunset's fine"

hey shadow!!!!

welcome to songfacts! it's a great site with great people talking about great music - great, huh?

be warned though, it is addictive!! as edna and i (and a little known band called the falcons or hawks or something...) say, you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!
