Most people i talk to have heard of T.Rex, but they dont have a clue who Marc is. its very easy, thered be no punks, no sex pistols, or David Bowie if it hadnt been for marc. and i love him. If you check out the T-Rex thread and the Glitter/Glam Rock thread in Music Discussion Classic you'll see that many people here know lots about Marc Bolan and T-Rex and also appreciate the great music they've made. I think that saying there would be no David Bowie, Clash, Sex Pistols or punkers without Marc Bolan & T-Rex is a bit of a generalisation though.
