Among the elite albums nominated are Coldplay's "X&Y," Bloc Party's "Silent Alarm," Antony and the Johnsons' "I Am a Bird Now," Maximo Park's "A Certain Trigger," M.I.A.'s "Arular," the Magic Numbers self-titled debut and "Stars of CCTV" by Hard-Fi (who play Street Scene Friday, July 29). Billboard reports that the Kaiser Chiefs are favored to take top honors. Franz Ferdinand walked away with last year's Prize. This year's winner will be announced Sept. 6. Anthony and the johnsons i'd never heard of him before, (i think i saw some posters in the tube or something perhaps) but he does has an incredible voice, quite an interesting one too. i quite liked the song he performed during the ceremony, i would have to hear more to make judgment. i guess i will have the chance tomorrow on the radio! so i enjoyed this discussion with myself, i hope you did too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
