edna
Must be "Shine on you crazy diamond"... There´s another long intro in the album "A Saucerfull of Secrets" but I don´t have it here and I can´t check the song. Sure somebody knows better than I... Aunt_Acid
The whole song SOYCD is like an intro.
Mike
Which of their songs is the one with the 9 minute intro?. Are you thinking about Echoes maybe? From Meddle? It's 23 minutes long and takes up all of side A.
Aunt_Acid
That's what I was thinking. Except, what would one consider an intro?
RonJonSurfer
Believe it or not, my son just timed Shine On You Crazy Diamond, in the car the other day. I played him all six parts and he had his cell phone timer on. The fist vocals started aroung 8:30 and the whole song was 26:00 on the nose. For me, and by far, this is their greatest song. Aunt_Acid
Why do they call it parts 1-6 if they are all on the same track? To me, that is the most pretentious thing Pink Floyd has ever done.
RonJonSurfer
You can definitely pick out six distinct parts, but it really isn't necessary...rock star stuff I guess.
