_Laurie_ Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Those are the ones I've seen in concert. Apocolyptica? You know, I've heard some of their stuff, and it seems to me that they can't make up their mind what type of band they are. It's not really a blend of different types of music. They're either playing metal, or something that's almost symphonic. At least what I've heard of them, anyway. [/quote Wow jr, Cool concerts!....You're Not A Dork after-all! ::
_jr_ Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Yes, but all those shows I saw from 77-86 or so. i haven't always been the dork you see before you today. well, actually, I have.
_Laurie_ Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 ^ geeesh, try to give the guy credit, and what's he do?...he dorks himself
katie_sane Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I saw Metallica last year and they were fantastic. I really like Rob Zombie too. They are the only 'newer' ones that I'm into. I much prefer Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly, the old ones. I think they had a much better sound, the music was really original and they were so heavy at times it was scary.
Aunt_Acid Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Iron Butterfly Yeah! Iron Butterfly never got the credit they deserved. I've heard live recordings, and they sounded awesome live too. You gotta love that Vox. I still think ELP was one of the coolest Metal bands. Well I guess you could call them Progressive Rock. But I hear in person, they are all as.sholes.
