MuzikTyme
LSD is definitely a tripper but let's not forget I am the Walrus goo goo g'joob! :: Being in an octopus' garden in the shade is another thought that I'm thinking may have been inspired. scott
I'm going with "I am the Walrus" which is just an exemplary example of John's talent (it sounds like a really hard song (as in like heavy metal, not talent wise, though it did obviously require talent)) What I really like about it's "hardness" is the fact that it sounds the way it does using little to no electric guitar, the signature of hard rock! Lennon was an undeniable genious.
Mike
My first thought was to go with "Day Tripper" (for obvious reason) -- "Glass Onion" would be a likely favorite of mine. I told you about strawberry fields You know the place where nothing is real Well here's another place you can go Where everything flows. Looking through the bent backed tulips To see how the other half live Looking through a glass onion. I told you about the walrus and me-man You know that we're as close as can be-man Well here's another clue for you all The walrus was Paul. Standing on the cast iron shore-yeah Lady Madonna trying to make ends meet-yeah Looking through a glass onion. I told you about the fool on the hill I tell you man he living there still Well here's another place you can be Listen to me. Fixing a hole in the ocean Trying to make a dove-tail joint-yeah Looking through a glass onion. Another favorite is "It's all too much" from Yellow Submarine. skip98989
Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye. Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess That has to be trippy.......... Only 2 other songs i can think of that are just as trippy Lyle Lovett : rhymed ice water with flyswater Ian gillian(w/ Black Sabbath): Down there by the river Where the heros sit with a magic in their music as they eat raw liver Could be a runner up

_Annabelle_
Trippiest?? Hmm I would also have to say "I Am The Walrus" its such a foreboding sound collage especially with the swirling melodies and strings. Really freaky but totally cool. Catherine
Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye. Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess My sentiments exactly...trippy.
cosmosis
Psychodelic I would say some parts in "A Day in the Life" and #9. But just trippiest, "Mr. Kite".
R_Soul
For its 'feeling', I think the instrumental "Flying" is very trippy. For lyrical content and sound, I'd go with "It's All Too Much". ====================================== Show me that I'm ev'rywhere, and get me home for tea. cosmosis
LOL, so sorry. Now I'm listening to Peppers. I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in And stops my mind from wandering Where it will go I'm filling the cracks that ran through the door And kept my mind from wandering Where it will go And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right Where I belong I'm right Where I belong. See the people standing there who disagree and never win And wonder why they don't get in my door. I'm painting my room in the colourful way And when my mind is wandering There I will go. And it really doesn't matter if I'm wrong I'm right Where I belong I'm right Where I belong. Silly people run around they worry me And never ask me why they don't get past my door. I'm taking the time for a number of things That weren't important yesterday And I still go. I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in And stops my mind from wandering Where it will go.
