SoulGirl
there are loads! You're So Vain (Carly Simon) You walked into the party Like you were walking onto a yacht Your hat strategically dipped below one eye Your scarf it was apricot You had one eye in the mirror As you watched yourself gavotte And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner They'd be your partner, and You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you? You had me several years ago When I was still quite naive Well, you said that we made such a pretty pair And that you would never leave But you gave away the things you loved And one of them was me I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you? I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee Clouds in my coffee, and You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you? Well, I hear you went up to Saratoga And your horse naturally won Then you flew your Lear jet up to Nova Scotia To see the total eclipse of the sun Well, you're where you should be all the time And when you're not, you're with Some underworld spy or the wife of a close friend Wife of a close friend, and You're so vain You probably think this song is about you You're so vain I'll bet you think this song is about you Don't you? Don't you? Coffee and TV (Blur) Do you feel like a chain store? Practically floored One of many zeros Kicked around bored Your ears are full but your empty Holding out your heart To people who never really Care how you are So give me coffee and tv History I?ve seen so much I?m goin blind And I?m braindead virtually Sociability It?s hard enough for me Take me away form this big bad world And agree to marry me So we can start all over again Do you go to the country It isn?t very far There?s people there who will hurt you Cos of who you are Your ears are full of the language There?s wisdom there you?re sure ?til the words start slurring And you can?t find the door So give me coffee and tv History I?ve seen so much I?m goin blind And I?m braindead virtually Sociability It?s hard enough for me Take me away form this big bad world And agree to marry me So we can start all over again So give me coffee and tv History I?ve seen so much I?m goin blind And I?m braindead virtually Sociability It?s hard enough for me Take me away form this big bad world And agree to marry me So we can start all over again Oh...we could start over again Oh...we could start over again Oh...we could start over again Oh...we could start over again Black Coffee (Ella Fitzgerald) I?m feeling mighty lonesome Haven?t slept a wink I walk the floor and watch the door And in between I drink Black coffee Love?s a hand me down brew I?ll never know a sunday In this weekday room I?m talking to the shadows from 1 o?clock to 4 And lord, how slow the moments go When all I do is pour Black coffee Since the blues caught my eye I?m hanging out on Monday My Sunday dreams to dry Now a man is born to go a lovin? A woman?s born to weep and fret To stay at home and tend her oven And drown her past regrets In coffee and cigarettes I?m moody all the morning and mourning all the night And in between it?s nicotine And not much heart to fight Black coffee Feelin? low as the ground It?s driving me crazy just waiting for my baby To maybe come around... around I'm waiting for my baby To maybe come around My nerves have gone to pieces My hair is turning gray All I do is drink black coffee Since my man?s gone away Another Cup of Coffee (Mike and the Mechanics) And she pours herself another cup of coffee As she contemplates the stain across the wall and it's in between the cleaning and the washing That's when looking back's The hardest part of all And she always did her best to try and please him While he always did his best to make her cry And she got down on her knees to stop him leaving But he always knew one day he'd say goodbye Where are your friends Where are your children Is this your house Is this your home Does nothing ever last forever Does everybody sleep alone And he tears the business tags from his old suitcase As he packs away the pieces of his life They all love him but they always try to change him That's what happens when a girl becomes a wife And she pours herself another cup of coffee As the pictures leave a clean space on the wall and it's in between the leaving and the loving That's when looking back's The hardest part of all Where are your friends Where are your children Is this your house Is this your home Does nothing ever last forever Does everybody sleep alone Don't look back Don't give up Pour yourself another cup

RonJonSurfer
The Rapper The Jaggerz Hey girl, I betcha, there's someone out to get ya, You'll find him anywhere, on a bus, in a bar, in a grocery store. He'll say "excuse me, haven't I seen you somewhere before?" Rap-a-rap-a-rap, they call him the Rapper. Rap, rap, rap, know what he's after. So he starts his rappin, hoping something will happen, He'll say he needs you, a companion, a girl he can talk to, He's made up his mind, he wants someone to sock it to. (Chorus) He's made an impression, so he makes a suggestion, Come up to my place, for some coffee, or tea, or me. He's got you where he wants you, girl you gotta face reality. (Chorus) Rap, rap, rap, call him the Rapper.
Malakin
Bob Dylan - One more cup of coffee (valley below) (also ably covered by Robert Plant) Your breath is sweet Your eyes are like two jewels in the sky. Your back is straight, your hair is smooth On the pillow where you lie. But I don't sense affection No gratitude or love Your loyalty is not to me But to the stars above. One more cup of coffee for the road, One more cup of coffee 'fore I go To the valley below. Your daddy he's an outlaw And a wanderer by trade He'll teach you how to pick and choose And how to throw the blade. He oversees his kingdom So no stranger does intrude His voice it trembles as he calls out For another plate of food. One more cup of coffee for the road, One more cup of coffee 'fore I go To the valley below. Your sister sees the future Like your mama and yourself. You've never learned to read or write There's no books upon your shelf. And your pleasure knows no limits Your voice is like a meadowlark But your heart is like an ocean Mysterious and dark. One more cup of coffee for the road, One more cup of coffee 'fore I go To the valley below.
jute86
Coffee -- Copeland There's plenty of time left tonight I promised I'd have you home before daylight We do the best we can in a small town Act like big city kids when the sun goes down [chorus] If it's not too late for coffee I'll be at your place in ten We'll hit that all night diner And then we'll see There's so many things I have to say I'll stay up all night to hear about your day We do the best we can in a small town Act like kids in love when the sun goes down [chorus] There's a love that transcends All that we've known of ourselves And I'll wait for it to come I'll wait for it to come Well it's got to be strong to touch my heart Through its shell And I'll wait for it to come I'll wait for it to come [chorus] There's a love that transcends All that we've known of ourselves And I'll wait for it to come I'll wait for it to come Well it's got to be strong to touch my heart Through its shell And I'll wait for it to come I'll wait for it to come down The Coffee Song -- Frank Sinatra Way down among Brazilians Coffee beans grow by the billions So they've got to find those extra cups to fill They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil You can't get cherry soda 'Cause they've got to fill that quota And the way things are I'll bet they never will They've got a zillion tons of coffee in Brazil No tea or tomato juice You'll see no potato juice The planters down in Santos all say no no no The politician's daughter Was accused of drinking water And was fined a great big fifty dollar bill They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil You date a girl and find out later She smells just like a percolator Her perfume was made right on the grill Why they could percolate the ocean in Brazil And when their ham and eggs need savor Coffee ketchup gives 'em flavor Coffee pickles way outsell the dill Why they put coffee in the coffee in Brazil So your lead to the local color Serving coffee with a cruller Dunking doesn't take a lot of skill They've got an awful lot of coffee in Brazil Two Beds And A Coffee Machine -- Savage Garden And she takes another step Slowly she opens the door Check that he is sleeping Pick up all the broken glass and furniture on the floor Been up half the night screaming now it's time to get away Pack up the kids in the car Another bruise to try and hide Another alibi to write Another ditch in the road You keep moving Another stop sign You keep moving on And the years go by so fast Wonder how I ever made it through And there are children to think of Baby's asleep in the backseat Wonder how they'll ever make it through this living nightmare But the mind is an amazing thing Full of candy dreams and new toys in another cheap hotel Two beds and a coffee machine But there are groceries to buy And she knows she'll have to go home Another ditch in the road You keep moving Another stop sign You keep moving on And the years go by so fast Wonder how I ever made it through Another bruise to try and hide Another alibi to write Another lonely highway in the black of night But there's hope in the darkness You know you're going to make it Another ditch in the road Keep moving Another stop sign You keep moving on And the years go by so fast Silent fortress built to last Wonder how I ever made it Famous Last Words -- Billy Joel Sitting here in Avalon, looking at the pouring rain Summertime has come and gone and everybody's home again Closing down for the season, I found the last of the souvenirs I can still taste the wedding cake and it's sweet after all these years These are the last words I have to say That's why this took so long to write There will be other words some other day But that's the story of my life There's comfort in my coffee cup and apples in the early fall They're pulling all the moorings up and gathering at the Legion Hall They swept away all the streamers after the Labor Day parade Nothing left for a dream now, only one final serenade And these are the last words I have to say Before another age goes by With all those other songs I'll have to play But that's the story of my life And it's so clear standing here where I am Ain't that what justice is for? Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn anymore Stack the chairs on the table tops Hang the sheets on the chandeliers It slows down but it never stops Ain't it sweet after all these years And these are the last words I have to say It's always hard to say goodbye But now it's time to put this book away Ain't that the story of my life Musn't forget...Good Cup Of Coffee by Vance Gilbert Clearly, I have nothing better to do...so I went coffee hunting. SoulGirl
can't believe i forgot this one!! Calling You (Bob Telson, covered by my beautiful Jeff Buckley) A desert road from Vegas to nowhere Some place better than where you?ve been A coffee machine that needs some fixing In a little café just around the bend. I am calling you. Can't you hear me? I am calling you. A hot, dry wind blows right through me The baby's crying, and I can't sleep But we both know a change is coming. Coming closer, sweet release. I am calling you. Can't you hear me? I am calling you. A desert road from Vegas to nowhere

Brian
There was a popular country song by Tommy Shane Steiner called "What are we going to do about it". This song is often refered to as 'The Starbucks Song'. If you do a google search on 'The Starbucks song' that will lead you to other parodies of the song as well. Lyrics: OK, PICTURE THIS: I?M STANDING IN THE WORLD?S LONGEST LINE AT STARBUCKS YOU KNOW THE ONE DOWN ON?.YEAH RIGHT THAT ONE. ANYWAY, I?M STANDING THERE I?M HALF ASLEEP, OF COURSE NO MAKE-UP ON AND THIS GUY I?VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE TAPS ME ON THE SHOULDER I TURN AROUND AND HE SAYS! DID YOU KNOW THERE?S 35 STARBUCKS AND 3 MILLION PEOPLE IN ATLANTA THE ODDS OF YOU AND ME BEING IN THE VERY SAME LINE ARE STAGGERING IS IT COINCIDENCE OR IS THERE A POWER BIGGER THAN YOU AND ME THAT MADE US BOTH CRAVE A THREE DOLLAR CUP OF COFFEE HOW LAME IS THAT? AND THAT?S NOT THE END OF IT, BEFORE I COULD SAY ANYTHING HE GOES: Chorus HEY, HEY, HEY TELL ME CAN YOU FEEL IT IT?S FILLING UP THE ROOM, THERE?S SOMETHING GOING ON SEE THAT LITTLE SPEAKER IN THE CEILING LISTEN REAL CLOSE IT?S PLAYING OUR SONG LOOKS LIKE FATE HAS FINALLY FOUND US IT?S GOT US SURROUNDED SO TELL ME WHAT WE?RE GONNA DO ABOUT IT HE STARTED SINGING! THERE?S SOME STRANGE GUY IN STARBUCKS SINGING TO ME IN LINE. EVERYBODY?S STARING I WAS SO EMBARASSED AND I?M THINKING WHO IS THIS FREAK! I KNOW WHAT YOU?RE THINKING YOU?RE THINKING MAN THIS GUY?S A TOTAL FREAK YOU THINK THE CASE I?M MAKING FOR DESTINY IS A LITTLE WEAK WELL YOU SHIRT IS YELLOW, MY SHIRT IS BLUE MY FAVORITE COLOR?S GREEN PRETTY AMAZING IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN WELL NO, I DON?T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? Chorus Bridge COME ON NOW YOU HAVE TO ADMIT WE COULDN?T HAVE WRITTEN A BETTER SCRIPT WHAT A GREAT STORY TO TELL OUR KIDS Chorus TRUE STORY, I KNOW, I COULDN?T BELIEVE IT EITHER WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE? WELL I?LL PUT IT TO YOU LIKE THIS: I?VE GOT TO GO HE?S GONNA BE HERE ANY MINUTE. NO, I?M NOT KIDDING! I've Found Someone Of My Own by Free Movement I got up this morning While I was having my coffee My woman came in Sat down by my side With tears in her eyes She said, :I have a confession to make" And I said, ?Woman, Speak what?s on your mind? She said, ?I found somebody new To take your place? I said, ?Don?t feel so all alone I found someone of my own? On those lonely nights You left me all alone Oh my new love would call And comfort me on the phone And I said, ?Woman If that?s the way it?s gotta be, Then darlin? Don?t you worry ?bout me? She said, ?I found somebody new To take your place? I said, ?Don?t feel so all alone I found someone of my own? How did I get here?
Tom's Diner-Suzanne Vega In the Morning (Coffee Song)-Norah Jones (this one's very funny if you are a coffee addict, like me!) :: I can't stop myself from callin' Callin' out your name I can't stop myself from fallin' Fallin' back again In the mornin' Baby in the afternoon Dark like the shady corners Inside a violin Hot like to burn my lips I know I can't win In the mornin' Baby in the afternoon I tried to quit you but I'm too weak Wakin' up without you I can hardly speak at all My girlfriend tried to help me To get you off my mind She tried a little tea and sympathy To get me to unwind In the mornin' Baby in the afternoon Funny how my favorite shirt Smells more like you than me Bitter traces left behind Stains no one can see In the mornin' Baby in the afternoon You're gonna put me in an early grave I know I'm your slave whenever you call I can't stop myself from callin' Callin' out your name I can't stop myself from fallin' Fallin' back again Fallin' back again Fallin' back again Fallin' back again Fallin' back again
Jimmy1104
When I first saw the subject of this thread the song that popped into my mind immediately is a theme song for a coffee brand here in the U.S., Chock Full O' Nuts. Most of us have heard the theme and I must admit it can become an earworm. "Chock full o'Nuts is that heavenly coffee, heavenly coffee, heavenly coffee Chock full o'Nuts is that heavenly coffee, Better coffee a millionaire's money can't buy."
