The star, 60, is under doctor's orders to rest his voice until his next show on Wednesday at the British capital's Earls Court venue. His spokesman says, "Rod Stewart has been forced to postpone his first London engagement at Earls Court tonight because of a severe viral throat infection." The star was under doctor's orders to rest his voice until Wednesday, after postponing a London gig on Monday. However, Stewart's condition failed to clear up in time for Wednesday night's Earls Court show - and he's been instructed not to perform at the venue Thursday either. Disappointed tickets holders have been assured the gigs will be rescheduled. Stewart is now hoping to resume his UK tour in Birmingham, England on Saturday. The singer had to pull out of three concerts at London's Earl's Court venue last week and two in Birmingham this past weekend after coming down with a severe throat infection. Stewart will now play the London dates on December 9, 10 and 11, while the Birmingham gigs will take place on July 16 and 17.
