RonJonSurfer Posted April 29, 2005 Report Share Posted April 29, 2005 Ringo Starr Returns With The Roundheads Former Beatle Ringo Starr has recruited a new band for his upcoming album because he's tired of being a solo star. The drummer's new album, 'Choose Love', will be released by Ringo & The Roundheads in June. Starr says, "I am a band member. That's who I am. That's who I want to be. It takes a band - even more than it takes a village - to make music like this." Starr admits that finding the group with his favorite session musicians made him feel like he did when he was one of the Fab Four. He adds, "By now, we feel like we know each other's minds, we know where we're going. It takes time... Now we're like a well-to-do garage band." "You can have fun and you can even have that bad day with each other and it's not held against you." The new album features collaborations with Chrissie Hynde and keyboardist Billy Preston.
