ellenas_1
....................................................... ....................................................... ....................................................... they suck. they are one of the worst bands to in recent history. i would not be surprised if they "wrote" their "songs" by laying out pages of blank manuscript paper and writing in notes wherever their drops of urine landed. if you want to hear 'get your hands off of my woman,' you need to buy "super d" by ben folds. his cover is the only thing that makes the song worth... anything. Earth-Angel
I have to say, I don't mind the Darkness - but I would not hail them as the "new gods of rock" that they seem to have manifested into...I find them more of a fun/novelty band, and fun to listen to "...impressive ability to combine the economy of AC/DC's best riffs with the best conceits from metal-through-the-ages. The best part is that their music is actually good, and with all the ironic references to Queen, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest -- you name it -- the Darkness manage to cut their own identity out of it." I don't have much of an opinion about the Darkness either way, but that description is HILARIOUS!
DiggsUK
They come from Lowestoft, and if you have ever been to Lowestoft you will understand how a band with a 20 year old sound can seem refreshingly new. Regards
