Former Led Zeppelin frontman to take new beats on the road in June

Robert Plant and his band the Strange Sensation will launch a North American tour on June 15th in Providence, Rhode Island. The outing comes in support of Mighty Rearranger, Plant's first album of original material in twelve years, due May 10th.

Rearranger finds the former Led Zeppelin frontman concocting a formidable mix of tribal beats, bluesy guitar crescendos and mystical balladry. "I've really always had an idea to develop this melange of North African music and the Plant side of Led Zep -- to push the two together," Plant told Rolling Stone last month. "But there's as much Roni Size and Portishead on this album as there is Zeppelin."

The album's first single, "Shine It All Around," has already arrived at radio.
