My other grandparents were Russian, half-German, ancestors from Sheffield. They were Jewish so I am Jewish too. My brother&sister are French, Argentinian and Spanish. My husband is Spanish. I had a Greek boyfriend. I wish I was Italian.
TrampledUnderFoot
Hey, I'm just wondering what everyone's ethnic backgrounds are! I find this kind of thing interesting and it's cool to see what everyone's heritage is... I'll start with mine (besides my home country, Canada) > My dad is from Portugal (born&raised) > My mom's parents are both from England, but she wasn't born there. invisible_r
both my mom and my dad are greek, many generations back. 6 generations back from my dads side, my family is from lithuania or somewhere like that, so that probably explains the hair colour
XXX
Native Central American (Mayan) and Spanish. This would make me a "mutt" or "mestizo" in layman's terms. Anyone else notice how some posts and threads disappeared and the dates of these posts are from 1969?

Levis
i'm 100% indian through and through...not only indian but also kashmiri. both my parents are kashmiri as is the rest of my family (duh). it's because my mom and my dad's marriage was kind of 'in-family'. it resulted in some family relations you would not believe! my second cousin is my aunt and so on and so forth... even though my parents split shortly after i was born, its nice to be so... so... pedigreed! ::
Earth-Angel
I remember posting this before.... My ancestry dates back to Vikings in Scandanavia pillaging their way through to England. My surname means "Man of the island". Along the way they added some British, South African, Irish and Scottish into the gene pool. Interesting mix

Addictedtoclassic
I'm not exactly sure what my heritage is, but I know that on my father's side, several ancestors came from Luxembourg and on my mother's side, several ancestors came from France. But that's about all I know.
DiggsUK
Did anybody else see MT in here earlier? Maybe I just imagined it. My background is pure middle English, which in itself is a mixture of Norse, Pict, Saxon, Moor, Celt, Waloon, Norman, cave dweller.... Crazy Don
I'm part English, as my last name is the phonetic spelling of the British pronunciation of the occupation from which it's taken. I'm part Scottish, as my mother's last name is the Scottish word for church. I'm also part German, as there is someone with the last name of Holstein in my family tree. I'm also part native American, so they say?
