The Wisdom Of Slash

I think Slash hit it right on the head. When things get to be too much to handle or there's to much 'control', people find other ways to express themselves: the easiest and most moving being music. Let's face it, society would be in the dumps right now if it weren't for music.

A musical explosion would be awesome right now! A lot of people could really benifit from it... :shades:

Slash is such a prophet, isn't he? Here are a few

quotes...try and decide if they are Slash or Gandhi.

"Peace will not come out of a clash of arms but out of

justice lived and done by unarmed nations in the face

of odds."

"It has that kind of immediate -- what's that word I'm

looking for -- immediacy?"

"A coward is incapable of exhibiting love; it is the

prerogative of the brave."

"Everybody f**king thinks about this sh*t way too

much. It's not that complicated."

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

"It reminds me of ... just sweaty, grindy, greasy sex

stuff."

It's hard to tell them apart, ne c'est pas?

I dont nessasarily think that this idea is confined to only music. I believe art in general thrives under conditions where the outlook on live is bleak. For example consider the reformation and the great painters and musical composers that came out of this period.

Slash hit the nail on the head
