daslied
1. They each have albums named after dance styles: Genesis - Foxtrot Fleetwood Mac - Tango In The Night Pixies - Bossanova 2. They each released self-titled records at least 5 albums into their careers. 3. They've all had members whose last names were colors. Not necessarily essential members, in the case of Genesis, but the other two have founding members with names like this (Frank Black and Peter Green). 4. Each band had a founding member leave or break up the band. That's all I've got... Edited September 2, 2005 by Guest
Earth-Angel
Nice try Laurie, you are on the right track...but not what I was thinking of. Daslied takes the cake with answer 1! The Pixies, Genesis and Fleetwood Mac did indeed all have albums named after dance styles! Daslied, sing your song! daslied
Awesome. Am I supposed to pose a question now? I think I screwed up in the "Above, Below..." thread, so I'm being more careful now.
Tenacious_Peaches
Pose away, sugar. The question should be hard enough to make us think, but not so hard that our brain leaks out of ears. Bazooka's got the corner on those types of questions. And you didn't screw up the other thread. I knew what you meant.
daslied
Thanks, Peaches! Now I have to go chug a salt packet. OK, what do Stephen Stills and Harry Nilsson have in common - related to television? (Because, you know, that post was so sweet.)
Tenacious_Peaches
They both tried out for the Monkees. And you had me at Pork-A-Que. I'll have to think of one. I'll get back to you.

daslied
They most certainly did. I was gonna pick Paris, as it's way more of a romantic notion, but Robert Palmer would've given it away too easily. Peaches, nice. Real nice.

daslied
Laurie - they all have songs called "Summertime". Janis' and Billy's were versions of the Gershwin tune, and DJJ & TFP's was based on Kool & The Gang. Different strokes, I guess.. Earth Angel - yeah, you didn't hear that? It was in December of last year, I think. Edited September 2, 2005 by Guest Little spelling mishap
