I think Bazooka knows that, but he doesn't appear to be making a list

A certain protocol for this game seemed to have been agreed to a while back.

Perhaps we should wait for the person who posts the question to confirm it is the right answer before posting a new one?

To be honest, I was just 50% waiting for verification and 50% trying to avoid having to make a new list. I'm glad you got things rolling again, Batman.

50% trying to avoid having to make a new list.

but, for some reason, I can't let this thread sit vacant for long. With apologies to Laurie, I got impatient and came up with these songs

[*] Question - The Moody Blues

[*] Rock N' Me - Steve Miller Band

[*] The End - The Beatles

It is not conspicuous right off, but they are related by a concept.

that's ok bazooka....I got involved in old 55's quiz and forgot that it was my turn!... :: I think you got me stumped on this one...ummm do the songs have parts in them that sound like other songs of the same artist????

or....the introductions of the songs sound like another song?

OK. OK.

Perhaps this was a bit abstract.

It isn't necessarily the focus of the songs, but the concept I had in mind was basically "what goes around comes around", karma, etc.

Question:

And when you stop and think about it

You won't believe it's true

That all the love you've been giving

Has all been meant for you.

Rock N'Me:

And I know that it's true that all the things that I do

Will come back to me in my sweet time

The End:

And in the end the love you take

Is equal to the love you make.

Go ahead and take a turn, Peaches.

And I'll try make things less esoteric next time.

They're by groups with two-word rhyming names.

Black Betty--Ram Jam

Dead Man's Party--Oingo Boingo

Girl You Know It's True--Milli Vanilli :o

My next one is:

Addicted to Love--Robert Palmer

I Didn't Mean to Turn You On--Robert Palmer

Simply Irresistible--Robert Palmer

Man! I Feel Like a Woman--Shania Twain

The concept for the video is the same. Robert Palmer started it with his 'addicted to Love' video, I think. The girls in the background are wearing black and have stark make-up. Shania Twain used the same concept in her video.

If I'm right then here's mine:

U2

Led Zeppelin

Fool's Garden

Mama Peaches' answer must be Burt Bacharach.

Marty Robbins recorded one of his first successes.

Dionne Warkwick's career pretty much depended on him.

The Luther Vandross song is A House Is Not A Home.

Let's let this one and the other new ones already posted get verified. OK?
