_Laurie_
Ha ha no, no tricks up my sleeve, I don't like to be too difficult....you got the right answer...you must be a true classic rocker...oh i dont like to say the word "old" I prefer the word experience instead
bazooka
you must be a true classic rocker Well, I am an experienced fart. Take your turn, edna. Make it rough, like Tina Turner. "Y? know, every now and then I think you might like to hear something from us Nice and easy But there?s just one thing You see we never ever do nothing Nice and easy" - Tina's introduction to Proud Mary

bazooka
-Eric Burdon -Janis Joplin -Clay Aiken They each covered The Bee Gees song To Love Somebody. edna, I think you gave away two thirds of the solution in another thread.
edna
I know, I just hoped few people had read my other post! I´m sorry, I´ll think about a good one, I promise! -Otis Redding -Jerry Lee Lewis -Ron Wood
bazooka
This is a real stretch but Otis Redding and Jerry Lee Lewis did cover versions of (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction. I suppose you could say that Ron Wood "covered" Satisfaction when he played it with the Stones, since he wasn't part of the original recording. Pretty weak, huh? Am I totally off-track? edna
No off-track at all, Bazooka... you´re a hard one!! Yet that´s not what I have in mind... I found some old Rolling Stone magazines the other day... there was an interview with some rock-pop-folk icon where he talked about Otis Redding recording one of his hits (icon´s hits), thought it was never released. He also wrote another song for Jerry Lee Lewis, which he also recorded but never released (that song was on one of the icon´s album). And he wrote a song for Ron Wood, which he did record and release in his first album. Guess you must know who´s the icon now... I´ll tell you later what the songs were in case you still don´t guess. I admit this one is tricky... but you wanted a tough one!
bazooka
edna, this one is spanking Google. Are you talking about Ron Wood's I've Got My Own Album to Do? I can't find writing credits on the web. Keith Richards (and Jagger) wrote some songs for that, but neither of them would seem to qualify for the "folk" part of "some rock-pop-folk icon". Dylan is a likely candidate for "icon", but I can't make a connection to Otis or Jerry Lee. Because Otis Redding died in 1967, I can't think of many others. (I think I remember some story about Otis doing Neil Young's Mr. Soul.)
edna
Good, Bazooka, this was very very hard but yes, it´s Bob Dylan. "I was going to record "Just like a Woman" and I met Otis Redding in the studio... he heard it and he recorded it... I don´t think it´s been released" "I wrote "To be alone with you" for Jerry Lee Lewis... he was in the next door studio recording an album... we gave him the tape..." (Both are quotes from "Rolling Stone Magazine", 1969.) He wrote "Seven Days" for Ron Wood, who recorded it and released it in his first solo album (1979). Guess you should have read this interview to know it exactly, so as you were right, it´s your turn.
bazooka
I'd pay to hear those unreleased recordings. To Be Alone With You is such a cool song, and perfect for Jerry Lee. Just to nitpick, Seven Days was on Ron Wood's Gimme Some Neck but that wasn't the first of his solo albums. OK detectives, here's the next case [*] green [*] blue [*] purple [*] red (Yes, Karhul. They are all colors, but that's not the deal. The colors were connected with individual parts of a big, big thing.)
edna
OMG, Bazooka... Ron Wood had THREE albums bfore "Gimme some neck"! I didn´t know that at all... honestly. I´ve never liked Ronnie very much as I missed Mick taylor with the Stones... but thanks for sharing your knowledge! I´m trying to find out your answer... might take long but we´ll see... RED pills, blue pills, and GREEN Big pills, (that?s ill) Mescaline I take a couple uppers I down a couple downers But nothing compares To these blue and yellow purple pills I don´t think it´s got to do with "Purple Pills" by Eminem (you say "individual parts of big big thing... that´s why I doubt...)? Earth-Angel
I highly doubt it's got to do with them all being used in song titles, maybe there's one band or person who's released songs with these colours in their titles? - that's too obvious, although it is a connection...
