RonJonSurfer Posted January 29, 2005 Report Share Posted January 29, 2005 Jim Capaldi Dies Veteran Traffic rocker Jim Capaldi died in a London clinic Friday morning. He was 60. The "Dear Mr. Fantasy" star, who was surrounded by his family when he passed away, was suffering from stomach cancer. Drummer Capaldi founded Traffic in 1967 with Steve Winwood, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. Amid several line-up changes he also sang and wrote songs for the British band, before embarking on a solo career. Traffic reformed briefly in 1994. Capaldi is survived by his wife Aninha and two daughters Tabitha, 28, and Tallulah, 26.
