You're welcome BB. When you think of "Super Groups" the members of Cream and Buffalo Springfield are the standouts, as history has proven.

Have a look at the 60s question I just put on. You'll know the songs - just have to make the connection. ::

I see you've had a go. I don't think he produced "Hanky Panky" or Manfred Mann's version of "Do Wah Diddy Diddy".

Well I got dropped out again while trying to make a Post!

Ellie Greenwich co-wrote them with Jeff Barry

This is the answer I was looking for! :coolio: WELL DONE swlabr!! :) :)

I certainly don't want to get into a dispute with my friends, but both "Hanky Panky" and "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" were remakes of Girl Group Hits. Phil Spector may have produced those - I know he had a very close association with Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich - but to the best of my knowledge, Manfred Mann's version of "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" production was credited to The Manfreds and Shel Talmy. Let me know what you think BB. :)

Thanks my friend. :D

I JUST got back in again - feel like I've won the Lottery every time I manage to access the site. ::

NEW QUESTION

This multi talented performer of the 1960s:

* played rythym guitar on a famous Jimi Hendrix Album

* produced the first album by Rock Group The Tubes

* wrote a book about the 60s Rock scene, with a collaborator

* wrote a U.S. #1 for another group in the mid 60s

* founded, and was part of, a successful 60s group

* is credited with discovering a U.S. Super Group of the 70s

AND lots more, but that would GIVE it away. IF clues are required later....
