OLD 55

THEN we can say, ONYA ENYA ! (Onya means "Good On You" in the Land Down Under).

Of course here in the good ole USA it means something entirely different and totaly better.

Question A: If not The BeeGees then it could be either Elvis, The Beatles or CSN&Y.

Question B: None ever had a number 1 hit in Japan. Kevin told me so.

Jesus H.Christ!! I finally got back on the Songfacts Bucking Bronco.

First, bazooka - sorry if I jumped down your throat yesterday. Kevin says you're a good guy and were probably joking with me! Tense Times on the Site at present, I think.

Boy, that Kevin is easily bamboozled.

But to get nice and serious (just one thing ... bazooka never does nothing nice and serious), there is something in my dysfunctional upbringing that won't let me pass up an opportunity to razz somebody. (My comment about the Ritchie Family being "Australian faves" was likewise a "joke" -- lost in translation, it appears.)

I suppose bazooka could use the Graemlins to telegraph his intent, but we seriously hate every damn one of them.

I thought you were serious about the Ritchie Family. We really liked "Best Disco In Town", but forgot them after. I liked disco. :) I see what you mean - I just got dropped out again. ::

Nobody's gotten the answers to the Current Questions yet. We'll have a look at them again in a moment (Songfacts permitting). First, lets look at the -

Hey, 55! I'm still hanging in there - just having a hard time getting on the site like everyone else. And I knew that Garth Brooks one!!::

Here are my guesses for the current ones

A: Abba or Rod Stewart

B: They all recorded at Abbey Road Studios?

This is just RIDICULOUS! A post I put on before has DISAPPEARED. It was to welcome Elvish and enquire about her progress and also to say :coolio: WELL DONE ELVISH! :) :)

Rod Stewart is correct for Question A. "Maggie May" (1971) and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy" (1978) were his #1s in all three of the U.S., U.K. and Australia. (I don't know about Japan). The updated points are shown below.

How come Jesus H. Christ only gets a single underline, when all the others get two?

Strange? When I clicked on it, THIS came up.

Were You There (When They Crucified My Lord)

Johnny Cash & June Carter

..........................

Were you there when they crucified my Lord

Oh were you there when they crucified my Lord

(Oooh sometimes it causes me to tremble) tremble

Were you there when they crucified my Lord

Were you there when they nailed him to the cross

Were you there when they nailed him to the cross

(Oooh sometimes it causes me to tremble) tremble

Were you there when they nailed him to the cross

(Were you there when they laid him in the tomb

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb

Oooh sometimes it causes me to tremble) tremble

Were you there when they laid him in the tomb

Well were you there when the stone was rolled away

Were you there when the stone was rolled away

(Oooh sometimes it causes me to tremble) tremble

Were you there when the stone was rolled away

HAPPY EASTER ALL ! Don't forget what it's REALLY about. :)

And NO, I'm not a Relgious Nut and I don't force my beliefs on anyone!!!

How about:

Beatles - Come Together

Bread - Come Again

Manfred Mann - Come Tomorrow

I think I'll have to pay that answer! I didn't specify that the songs had to be Singles, and I just checked on "Come Again" and find it's an Album Track from "Manna". SO 5 Points to you Elvish! :coolio:CONGRATULATIONS!!! :) :)

..........................................................

My original answer was that they all have Songs about BOOKS !

Beatles - " Paperback Writer"

Bread - "The Diary"

Manfred Mann - "My Little Red Book"
