Did they each do the artwork for their album covers?

I know that John Entwistle did the cover for The Who By Numbers.

:coolio: :coolio: THAT'S IT ! WELL DONE KATIE :) Well, you got 5 points for that one and Windy got 1, so that puts you into the lead:

HERE'S A COUPLE OF NEW QUESTIONS:

QUESTION A:

RINGO STARR, J.GEILS BAND, PAUL SIMON.

These three Acts each had a big U.S. Hit with songs that have a common thread/theme.

What is it and what are the three songs?

::

QUESTION B:

"CASINO ROYALE"/ "THE MAN WHO SHOT LIBERTY VALANCE"/ "WHAT'S NEW PUSSYCAT".

All three of these '60s Movie Title songs have something specific in common, but one is the ODD ONE OUT. (and it's NOT that 2 of them were comedies, although I didn't think "Casino Royale" was very funny).

Can you please tell me which is the ODD one out AND why?

Well it looks like interest might be flagging in my Quiz.

Thanks to Sammy, Peaches and Uncle for participating in my last two questions. Question B still hasn't hit on the correct answer - all around it, but not quite right.

With Question A , I'm awarding 5 points each to sammy and Peaches and 1 to Uncle. :coolio: The answer I had in mind was "Photograph", "Freeze Frame" and "Kodachrome", but "Centerfold" is CERTAINLY about Photography too! WELL DONE sammy and Peaches.

Please have a think about Question B and I'll post another one soon.

Thanks jr. Maybe I'm making the questions too difficult, or maybe I'm showing my age with the time frames of some of them? This current one is before your time, but it's frustrating that sammy and Uncle have almost nailed it. I'll repeat it again, and also put on another question soon.

OF Course it COULD be that people CAN'T get into the SITE!!!I've been trying to gain entry for over an hour (it's now 10.00 PM FRIDAY Songfacts Time - 4.00PM Saturday here in Queensland).

HERE'S THE CURRENT QUESTION + ANOTHER ONE.

NEW QUESTION (N)

This happened in the last 20 years. The Grammy Award for "Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male" was given to a singer who covered an older Hit song. He didn't mention the original singer (who was also the co-writer) of the song in his acceptance speech. When this was pointed out to him later, he didn't even have the courtesy to apologize.

Who was this Grammy Recipient?

What was the Song and who originally sang it? (much better than he did !)

O.K. I'm going to declare both these questions closed and award 3 points each to UncleJoe and Kevin because they have given correct but incomplete answers. WELL DONE both of you.

:coolio:

1. "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" is correct, but the reason it is the odd one out is that the song was NOT included in the film of the same name. The other two were. Also, all 3 songs were actually written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Gene Pitney was a fine songwriter, but he also had hits with 4 Bacharach/David songs, the other three being "Only Love Can Break a Heart", "True Love Never Runs Smooth", and "Twenty Four Hours From Tulsa".

:)

2. Michael Bolton it was and the song was "When A Man Loves A Woman" which was Percy Sledge's only #1, in 1966, and the song with which he is readily identified.

Answer to Question C:

Peter Sellers, Woody Allen, and Ursula Andress appeared in both What's New, Pussycat? and Casino Royale.

None of them was in the cast of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

A very thoughtful answer bazooka, but it was about the Movies' self-titled SONGS, not the actual movies themselves. Still, I reckon it's worth a participatory point. Thanks for contributing!

:)

I'm working on another question or 2 now Katie (well after I watch "Lost" anyway).

QUESTION 1:

What do lizards and beetles have in common musically ? Hope you watch nature programs.

::

QUESTION 2:

These three all had U.S. Hits with something in common? Janet Jackson, George Harrison, Sonny and Cher. What the heck could it be????

:stars:

Good luck all. I reckon the first one will go quickly and the second one should too. Goodnight.

All had song titles in the form of a question...? ::

CLOSE ENOUGH! WELL DONE PEACHES :coolio: :coolio:

I should have put WHAT in capitals. The three I was thinking of were "What Have You Done For Me Lately"/ Janet Jackson, "What Is Life"/ George Harrison, and "What Now My Love"/ Sonny and Cher.

5 points to you and 1 each to Uncle, Katie and Classic. :)
