Hi all. I've decided to transfer this from "Random Music Thoughts" to a separate thread. I'm offering a prize of some "Rock Artists" stamps each month, because that is my other big interest and I figure a few $ a month won't break me.

............................................................

"KNOWLEDGE" QUIZ POINTS FOR JANUARY TO DATE:

addictedtoclassic 22

Elvish 16

edna 12

jrownsdega 7

bluesboy 6

SoulGirl 5

UncleJoe 4

miamisammy 4

RogerWaters90125 2

DiggsUK 1

............................................................

If you're participating for the first time, DON'T think the others have too much start. Each time there's a correct answer I'll put on a new question. Points are allocated: 5 for the correct answer, 2 for an "Honorable Mention" (to someone who goes close) and 1 to each person who Has A GO !

............................................................

HERE'S THE CURRENT QUESTION ENTERED AT 10.30 P.M. LAST NIGHT (Australian Eastern Time)

WHAT do these songs all have in common?

"Daydream"/ Lovin' Spoonful, 1966

"Montego Bay"/ Bobby Bloom, 1970

"Can't Smile Without You"/ Barry Manilow, 1978

"Jealous Guy"/ Roxy Music, 1981

"Wind Of Change"/ Scorpions, 1991

ONLY HAD ONE ENTRANT SO FAR, BUT IT'S NOT AS DIFFICULT AS IT SOUNDS.

I agree wholeheartedly Bluesboy. GREAT effort Newbie Jr . I'd better put on another question for that NICE Stones fan......but it's NOT about the Stones Carole.

:)

NEW QUESTION

Another "In Common" Question, this time about people.

These artists all have/had something in common (besides being male). Any ideas on this one?

Billy Ward (Great 50s R&B singer and leader of Billy Ward And His Dominoes)

Johnny Burnette ("Dreamin'", "You're Sixteen", "Little Boy Sad" were Hits for him in 1961)

Peter Criss (Original drummer with Kiss - wore the Cat makeup)

Kris Kristofferson (Great Country singer/songwriter)
