Wilson Pickett-In The Midnight Hour

I'm gonna wait 'till the midnight hour

That's when my love comes tumbling down

I'm gonna wait 'till the midnight hour

When there? no one else around

I'm gonna take you girl and hold you

Do all things I told you in the midnight hour

I?m gonna wait till the stars come out

See them twinkle in your eyes

I'm gonna wait 'till the midnight hour

That's when my love begins to shine

You're the only girl I know

Really love you so in the midnight hour

The carpenters ? goodbye to love

I'll say goodbye to love

No one ever cared if I should live or die

Time and time again the chance for love has passed me by

And all I know of love is how to live without it

I just can't seem to find it

So I've made my mind up I must live my life alone

And though it's not the easy way

I guess I've always known

I'd say goodbye to love

There are no tomorrows for this heart of mine

Surely time will lose these bitter memories

And I'll find that there is someone to believe in

And to live for something I could live for

All the years of useless search

Have finally reached an end

Loneliness and empty days will be my only friend

From this day love is forgotten

I'll go on as best I can

What lies in the future is a mystery to us all

No one can predict the wheel of fortune as it falls

There may come a time when I will see that I've been wrong

But for now this is my song

And it's goodbye to love

I'll say goodbye to love

Hi, BrokenVamp! You posted a song that can make me cry, which I don´t do often, I must say... The music is also great... I used to hear that song after my last divorce, that was some masochist thing but I couldn´t help it... I´ll surely remember that song!

There´s a line from "If", Pink Floyd, which describes me very well at certain moments of my life:

"If I go insane please don´t put your wires in my brain". That one obsessed me during another split, and now I´m thinking maybe I´ll put it as my next signature... I like it. It´s the kind of situation you find yourself in sometimes... your brain is all a mess and the one who´s supposed to help just... makes the short-circuit into your head!

Since it's absolutely unlikely that anyone here has ever heard of Kalapana, here are Malani Bilyeu's lyrics:

Once I thought she'd really need me

All those silly games were really hurting too

For you I'd chase a rainbow.

When our eyes met the moon was full

On the shore just me & you and starry skies

Gypsy eyes dance in the moonglow.

And when I think about you

The blues come down on me

Wish I could sleep without you

But sleep brings back the memories

Of falling in love.

Now that she's gone my skies are grey

Left my heart in memory

And made me blue

For you I'd chase a rainbow.

Well, it's time to put on Louis Armstrong and move along.

In less than two weeks you´ll be singing this song, it´ll help, sure! Ron Wood sang it on his first solo album.

Seven Days

Bob Dylan

Seven days, seven more days she'll be comin'

I'll be waiting at the station for her to arrive

Seven more days, all I gotta do is survive.

She been gone ever since I been a child

Ever since I seen her smile, I ain't forgotten her eyes.

She had a face that could outshine the sun in the skies.

I been good, I been good while I been waitin'

Maybe guilty of hesitatin', I just been holdin' on

Seven more days, all that'll be gone.

There's kissing in the valley,

Thieving in the alley,

Fighting every inch of the way.

Trying to be tender

With somebody I remember

In a night that's always brighter'n the day.

Seven days, seven more days that are connected

Just like I expected, she'll be comin' on forth,

My beautiful comrade from the north.

There's kissing in the valley,

Thieving in the alley,

Fighting every inch of the way.

Trying to be tender

With somebody I remember

In a night that's always brighter'n the day.

That´s the way you feel, addict?

I found this at Google by Sash! World.

"Non-existant nothing"

Don´t know who they are... seem to be german...

In the beginning there was a non existant nothing.

Au debut.

In the beginning there was a non existant nothing.

Au debut, il y avait une rien non existante.

You wanted a second try?

In the beginning there was a non existant nothing.

Au debut, il y avait une rien non  existante.

You wanted a second try?

Au debut, il y avait une rien non existante.

In the beginning there was a non existant nothing.

I just meant that my love life is non-existant right now. Not that I feel that way, in fact I feel like I'm the life of the party. I spent all last year building myself a new group of friends and getting a better job and building a better relationship with my son. Now this year, I can start thinking about a girlfriend. But until I meet someone new, my love life is non-existant! But thank you for looking Helena!

The first one that came into my head when I read this was "Happy Together" by the Turtles. I know, cheesy, but it's true. I couldn't be happier.

"I can't see me loving nobody but you

For all my life

When you're with me, Baby, the skies will be blue

For all my life"

Also, "You're My Best Friend" by Queen, and "Have I Told You Lately" by Van Morrison
