Earth-Angel
Um, A-HA weren't a 'one-hit-wonder' band :: I'd say "My Sharona - The Knack" is my favourite one-hit wonder!
Kevin
"One Thing Leads to Another" -- The Fixx "Hold Me Now" -- Thompson Twins "All of My Heart " -- ABC "Smalltown Boy" -- Bronski Beat "Hearts" -- Marty Balin
DiggsUK
I'm assuming these are all US 'one-hits'? Dexy's Midnight Runners had a few more here in the UK (remember 'Geno'), as did the Thompson Twins (unfortunately), ABC (listen to 'The Lexicon of Love' for loads) and Bronski Beat too. A good one-hit wonder here in the UK that spring to mind is 'Love Rears Up Its Ugly Head' by Living Colour. Regards
edna
I have many, but one that stands out is Mickey by Toni Basil. Just try to get that one out of your head! That´s a great song! Foxy
Aha & ABC were very popular bands over here in the UK and certainly weren't one-hit wonders!! My fav one hit wonders that I can think of are: "Turning Japenese" by The Vapors "Sleeping Satellite" by Tasmin Archer "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks They may not be true one hit wonders but I've never heard anything else by them

Earth-Angel
not my favourite but certainly memorable "spaceman"-babylon zoo. i remembee the guy actually thought he was going to be big! Hehe I remember loving this song! I think I still have the single at home... I read an article in Smash Hits when I was a teen and it had him wrapped in a kitchen wrap skirt with eyes cut out from magazines stuck on it, and he'd said his mum had made it for him. And I do remember him bragging about how Babylon Zoo was going to take over the world. High hopes eh. ::
edna
THE one hit wonder is... how comes nobody thought about it in the previous thread? Nor me...
