I never really realised how much of a contribution George made to the Beatles until recently. I wish that he and Ringo would get more credit....the Beatles were a group of four people, not two.

Because of George's position in The Beatle's hierarchy, he was limited to 2 or so songs per album. If the Beatles had lasted beyond 1970 as a recording group, many of the songs from "All Things Must Pass" may never have seen the light of day. Some of the songs would have become Beatles songs, others would have been releases years later if at all. The Beatles turmoil helped release George's restraints and all of his wonderful solo music.
