Kevin
:: George Harrison who died in in 2001 (so long ago now..) was added to the Dictionary of National Biography, Britain's definitive record of the great and good. " The dictionary is a record of people who were once our contemporaries and who shaped the society in which we now live, " -- editor Lawrence Goldman Amen. Nice to see George has finally made it into the 'Good Book'.

katie_sane
I never really realised how much of a contribution George made to the Beatles until recently. I wish that he and Ringo would get more credit....the Beatles were a group of four people, not two.

RonJonSurfer
I never really realised how much of a contribution George made to the Beatles until recently. I wish that he and Ringo would get more credit....the Beatles were a group of four people, not two. Because of George's position in The Beatle's hierarchy, he was limited to 2 or so songs per album. If the Beatles had lasted beyond 1970 as a recording group, many of the songs from "All Things Must Pass" may never have seen the light of day. Some of the songs would have become Beatles songs, others would have been releases years later if at all. The Beatles turmoil helped release George's restraints and all of his wonderful solo music.
